Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course

Fruit Heights City and Kaysville City will host a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course beginning on Thursday, January 23rd, starting at 6:30 pm in the basement of the Fruit Heights City offices, 910 South Mountain Road. The course will continue for eight consecutive Thursdays and conclude with a practical exercise.
CERT is a national program designed to engage everyone to make their community safer, more prepared, and more resilient when critical incidents occur. The course offers instruction in Emergency Preparedness, Fire Safety, Disaster Medical Operations, Light Search and Rescue Operations, Team Organization, Disaster Psychology, and Terrorism Awareness.
There is a $25.00 registration fee that covers the cost of instruction, the student manual, and necessary CERT response personal protective equipment.
